Hello all! I have just returned from Alfred, visiting the Saxons as they swam spectacularly at states. I’ve been reworking many of my prints into collages, experimenting with layering and drawing. I’ve also created 3 dunny dolls with collage covers.

This is a scan of an altered biography of Henry Cabot Lodge. Personally I feel it was a little light on Lodge’s wrestling career, also his pivotal role in winning the hearts and minds of those he suplexed.

Posted in Uncategorized with tags Color, Linoleum Block, Print, Senior Show on May 21, 2009 by owenlindersPosted below is one aspect of my Senior show I didn’t describe too much earlier. It was an experiment for the most part. Each print was created out of found paper (I did a fair amount of trash picking this semester). I printed on them with linoleum block carvings, creating about 2700 or so prints.
Displayed as a large group on the wall, the scene was an overwhelming array of color. As show visitors stopped by they were invited to take a print and leave a dollar on the wall to pay for it. They were then asked to have it signed with a stamp at the table pictured in the foreground. The stamping itself was pretty funny, as I rarely did it and it was great to be able to say “Signed by the artist’s mother/sister/father”. Gradually the prints were replaced by dollar bills and as they built up I then switched out more prints.
I still have hundreds of these prints so I may find more methods to display and sell them.
Senior Show
